EXTRICATION - Vehicle Rescue Awareness and Operations
This course developed by the VAFR, Office of EMS and Dept. of Fire Programs stresses the skills and latest techniques of vehicle extrication. Emphasis is placed on:
· Orderly and efficient approach to the accident situation
· Safety procedures
· Protective equipment
· Use of tools (hand tools, power tools, hydraulic tools, air bags, etc.)
This course contains both classroom and practical portions.
